First we must know 2 things:

the x intercept : plug 0 in for y
the y intercept : plug 0 in for x

So now that we know we can solve the equation.

Solve for x;
1/2x+4(0)=24
2/1(1/2)x=(24/1)2/1
x=48

Solve for y;
1/2(0)+4y=24
4y/4=24/4
y=6

So the X intersept is (48,0) and Y is (0,6)
