Answer:

If a line is parallel to another line, the slopes of both lines are the same. So far the equation would be, y=7/6x+b. To find the value of b, you substitute the given point into the equation. -2=7/6(-1)+b, -2=-7/6+b, b=-5/6. So the equation of the line is y=7/6x-5/6.
