Thesis Statement
Isabella of Spain, a 15th century queen, supported the ideal of humanism through her leadership of Spain. Although she was a harsh ruler, she emphasized public order and laws in Castile, sparked the beginning of the Spanish Inquisition, and wanted to make a global empire that would be known throughout Europe.
