Trackways/footprints, mold and
cast fossils, feeding marks, coprolites, and
burrows. Trace fossils show the activity of ancient
organisms rather than the body fossil itself. However, it is rather difficult to identify an organism by use
of mere trace fossil, and therefore, it is less
accurate.
