How do I find X for 3x-7=5x-13?

3x - 7 = 5x - 13
-3x        -3x

5x - 3x = 2x

-7 = 2x - 13
+7         +7

-13+7 = -6

2x = -6
2x/2 = -6/2
x = -3

Answer: x = -3
